“…the very hairs of your head are all numbered. SO DON’T BE AFRAID; “Whoever 1acknowledges me before others, I WILL ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I WILL DISOWN before my Father in heaven.” (Matt. 10:29-33) 1homologeō: to admit or declare one’s self guilty of what one is accused of.
The Lord knows everything there is to know about us (the number of hairs on our head), He knows all our thoughts and each intent of our heart! Of course, He knows if we are truly, sorry for and have repented of, our sins (our offences against Him) and if we actually accept Him as our Lord and Savior or if we deny Him!
It is so very important for us to realize that we are all born with sin in our lives “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23). We must be aware of the consequences of that sin: “For the wages of sin is death…” (Rom. 6:23a). Thankfully God has provided us a way of escape, “…the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23b). So, how do we receive this awesome gift? “…repent (apologize, be sorry) of your sins and turn to God, so that YOUR SINS MAY BE WIPED AWAY.” (Acts 3:19)
AS A RESULT WE BECOME A BORN AGAIN, CHILD OF GOD…
