“The apple of His eye”, figuratively this means someone, cherished above others. I think this old song expresses this love.

We must continually be awake to and aware of the fullness of God’s love! It is always there, we are NEVER alone, Jesus said, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and MAKE OUR HOME WITH THEM.” (John 14:23)
WE MUST REMIND OURSELVES – WE ARE NEVER ALONE…
