12-17-18 FaithLine Devotion A LION OR A LAMB?

My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: John said: “There before me was a great multitude that no one could countThey were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “SALVATION BELONGS TO OUR GOD, WHO SITS ON THE THRONE, AND TO THE LAMB.” All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. THEY FELL DOWN ON THEIR FACES before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength BE TO OUR GOD for ever and ever. Amen!” (Rev. 7:9-12)

As we see here Jesus is called the LAMB OF GOD, but look at this verse, And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, THE LION of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered (Rev. 5:5) The Lion and the Lamb are descriptions of two aspects of the nature of Christ. As the Lion of Judah, He fulfills the prophecy as a Lion, divinely protecting as the Messiah who would come from the tribe of Judah. As the Lamb of God, He is the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for our sin.

JESUS CHRIST, OUR ALL IN ALL

FaithLine, the bible says: “Weep no more; behold, THE LION of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered…”
