My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate; whom I love and pray for every day: “I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and HEARD MY CRY. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him. Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD.” (Psa. 40:1-4)
We are often good at getting ourselves into trouble. David calls it the “slimy pit”, the mud and the mire. He is describing a place to be avoided, because once in it, it tends to become impossible to get out of without help. In life to, by denial, we can get ourselves into situations that are the same. The prayer in Psalms 91:3 describes this, “Surely YOU SHALL DELIVER ME from the 1snare of the fowler…” 1constantly falling into a sin you do not wish to commit.
LIFT US OUT; PUT US ON A FIRM PLACE LORD…
