My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: First of all remember what Jesus said: “…I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH, and the gates of Hell will not overcome it.” (Matt. 16:18) Did Jesus complete this task? “I have brought you glory on earth by FINISHING THE WORK YOU GAVE ME TO DO.” (John 17:4) The Lord makes available to us spiritual gifts that God will use in us to help build up the church?
“Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, TRY TO EXCEL IN THOSE THAT BUILD UP THE CHURCH.” (1 Corin. 14:12) The reason Jesus built His church is: “…I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them…My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will BELIEVE IN ME THROUGH THEIR MESSAGE…” (John 17:20)
These spiritual gifts are made available to us by God, to be used for His purpose… “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given FOR THE COMMON GOOD.” (1 Corin. 12:7)
Peter preached a very Holy Spirit anointed message and, “…those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there WERE ADDED ABOUT THREE THOUSAND SOULS.” (Acts 2:41)
WE ARE FILLED WITH THE VERY SAME HOLY SPIRIT…
