My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “THE REVELATION FROM JESUS CHRIST, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO READS ALOUD THE WORDS OF THIS PROPHECY, AND BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HEAR IT AND TAKE TO HEART what is written in it, because the time is near.” (Rev. 1:1-3)
Notice this is the revelation from Jesus and anyone who reads this will be blessed and those who hear it and take it to heart (believe it) will also be blessed! On what authority does He make these promises? “I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, says the Lord, WHO IS AND WHO WAS AND WHO IS TO COME, the Almighty…And when I (John) saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear, I am the First and the Last, and the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive FOR EVER AND EVER, Amen…” (Rev 1:8, 17-18)
Jesus is revealing what will happen to us if we are obedient to His word…“You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that IN THEM YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me…” (John 5:39)
