NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP…

“In peace I will both LIE DOWN AND SLEEP, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.” (Psa. 4:8)

After a long day, whether it be stressful or not, it is important we all sleep and recharge our batteries. For some it is very easy to fall right asleep, and for others it can be very stressful. Sleeplessness, insomnia, and stress may cause us to stay awake longer than expected. We sometimes have trouble finding a relaxed state of mind. So we look to God, and HE HELPS PUT OUR MINDS TO REST. No matter what we can always look to the Lord for peace. His words will soothe our minds and soul and help us sleep better at night. These Bible verses are examples of times where God helped those mentioned in the Bible fall asleep.

“It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for HE GIVES TO HIS BELOVED SLEEP.” (Psa. 127:2) If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET.” (Prov. 3:24) I lie down and sleep. I wake up again, because THE LORD TAKES CARE OF ME.” (Psa. 3:5) When you lie down, YOU WON’T BE AFRAID. When you lie down, YOU WILL SLEEP SOUNDLY.(Prov. 3:24)

Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. The way you feel while you’re awake depends in part on what happens while you’re sleeping. During sleep, your body is working to support healthy brain function and maintain your physical health. In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development. So, GOD WILL HELP US if we’re having trouble sleeping…

REMEMBER, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE PRINCE OF PEACE
