My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “When Peter knocked at the door, a servant-girl named Rhoda came to answer…she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate. They said to her, “You are out of your mind!” But she kept insisting that it was so. They kept saying, “It is his angel.” But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, THEY SAW HIM AND WERE AMAZED…” (Acts 12:13-17)
Peter went to the home of the people who were praying for him to be delivered from prison and when they were told by Rhoda that Peter was at the door they said, “you are out of your mind.” Does that sound like trust? We are taught in the scriptures: “Those who know your name TRUST IN YOU, for you, LORD, have NEVER FORSAKEN THOSE WHO SEEK YOU.” (Psa. 9:10) “When I am afraid, I PUT MY TRUST IN YOU.” (Psalms 56:3)
One of my favorite trust verses: “Trust in the LORD with ALL YOUR HEART and do not lean on your own understanding…He will make your paths straight.” (Prov. 3:5-6) God has created in us the ability to “understand” things but He does not want us to trust in that ability…
GOD WILL ALWAYS DO WHAT ONLY GOD CAN DO…
