My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: Peter’s claim as he ate the last supper with Jesus was Lord, with You:“I am ready to go both to prison and to death.“, a very strong desire but unfortunately not one he could keep… Satan has a lot of power in this world. Jesus calls him the “prince” or “ruler of this world” (John 16:11), and Paul calls him the “god of this age” (2 Corin. 4:4) and the “ruler of the authority of the air” (Eph. 2:2). He blinds the minds of unbelievers (2 Corin. 4:4) and holds them in his snare until God releases them through the gospel (2 Tim. 2:25, 26).
“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to 1sift you like wheat; but I HAVE PRAYED FOR YOU, THAT YOUR FAITH MAY NOT FAIL; and you, when once you have turned again (repented), strengthen your brothers.” But he said to Him, “Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!” And He said, “I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until YOU HAVE DENIED THREE TIMES THAT YOU KNOW ME.” (Luke 22:31-34) 1siniazo: to examine by trials and temptations, by inward agitation to try one’s faith.
Peter was an apostle of Christ, he would soon be going out instead of Christ, (2 Corin 5:20) to preach the word, cast out devils, heal and deliver. Was he up to doing all of this? Well we know from this scripture that he was: “…they carried out the sick into the streets…that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them…the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and THEY WERE ALL HEALED.” (Acts 5:15-16)
So, the question is how do we know where we are, spiritually, unless we are tested?
“COUNT IT ALL JOY, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that YOU MAY BE PERFECT AND COMPLETE, lacking in nothing.” (Jam. 1:2-4)
WE MUST EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF BEING TESTED…
Notice: […We must understand that the bible says:] “…COUNT IT ALL JOY, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.” !!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh
