My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “…you may participate in the divine nature…MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ADD to your faith…knowledge…self-control…perseverance…godliness …mutual affection; and…love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, THEY WILL KEEP YOU FROM BEING INEFFECTIVE AND UNPRODUCTIVE in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is near sighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.” (2 Pet. 1:4-9)
It is God’s desire for us as Christians to have a divine nature, we are His children and He desires for us to be one with Him: “…that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that THEY ALSO MAY BE IN US…” (John 17:20-21) So, we take on that divine nature by adding each of these Christian qualities to our lives…
“Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, YOU WILL NEVER STUMBLE;” (2 Pet. 1:10)
Peter denied the Lord and then He became a very powerful man of God just walking by people and his shadow passing over them and they were healed (Acts 5:15). So, he knows what he is talking about…
“For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but WE WERE EYEWITNESSES OF HIS MAJESTY.” (2 Pet. 1:16)
PLEASE HELP US LORD NOT TO BE BLINDED TO YOUR MAJESTY…
FaithLine, the bible says: “…as long as you practice these things, YOU WILL NEVER STUMBLE;”
