My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “His divine power HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR A GODLY LIFE through our 1knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2 Pet. 1:3) 1epignōsis: two words: epi: marked by. Ginōskō: In the Jewish religious sense, it was used to describe sexual relations, as in Adam knew Eve., therefore, it is an intimate knowledge of a person, marked by the birth of their child. When we give our lives to the Lord we have the “mark” of an intimate knowing of our Abba Father. What is that mark? “GRACE AND PEACE BE YOURS IN ABUNDANCE through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” (2 Peter 1:2)
GRACE is the desire and power to do Gods will (Phil 2:13) and have the awesome PEACE of God upon us as we go about it. That is our mark of intimacy!!!
“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them YOU MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” (2 Pet. 1:4)
OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN, WE EAGERLY AWAIT THE RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. (Phil. 3:20)
