What an extremely romantic expression, which is exactly how we should feel about our Abba Father…
“So, I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied…and MY MOUTH OFFERS PRAISES WITH JOYFUL LIPS. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches…” (Psa. 63:4-6)
Help us keep this in our hearts dear Lord, “as long as I live, I will lift up my hands.”
“For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. MY SOUL CLINGS TO YOU; Your right hand upholds me. If I go up to heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in hell, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will HOLD ME FAST.” (Psalms 63:7-8, 139:9-10)
The words of a song say: “When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;” Jesus says: “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; NO ONE WILL SNATCH THEM OUT OF MY HAND.” (John 10:27-28) The Lord will never leave us or forsake us, we just must make sure that WE DO NOT LEAVE HIM…
