My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.” (Psa. 61:1-3)
Many are told that when they come to a relation with Christ they will experience love, joy, and peace; which is so very true. But we also need to mention that the consequences of our Christian faith is sometimes faced with hardship, suffering, and struggle. God seems to be more concerned with our character than our comfort. That’s why David prays “Lead me to the Rock.” Because he prophetically knew something of that rock; “…they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and THE ROCK WAS CHRIST.” (1 Corin. 10:4)
The imagery of the rock is important because any builder knows that if you lay the foundation on solid rock it will stand forever…
“I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! HE IS THE ROCK, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” (Deut. 32:3-4)
We serve a God who never does wrong, His ways are always perfect and just, that is why He is a strong tower against the enemy…
ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND…
FaithLine, the bible says: “…LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I, for you have been my refuge a strong tower against the enemy…”
