My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: When something happens that stirs us up, we often find ourselves debating or arguing about it. The temptation is to “publish” our complaints which in my opinion demonstrates our lack of trust in our Heavenly Father, who says:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will HUMBLE THEMSELVES and PRAY and SEEK MY FACE…then I WILL HEAR from heaven, and…WILL HEAL their land.”(2 Chron. 7:14)
So, who are God’s people?
“…remember that formerly you who are Gentiles…WERE SEPARATE FROM CHRIST, excluded from citizenship in…without hope and without God in the world…now in Christ Jesus YOU WHO ONCE WERE FAR AWAY HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. For he…has made THE TWO GROUPS ONE…in one body to reconcile both of them to God THROUGH THE CROSS…” (Eph. 2:11-16)
Only God can change a person’s heart, and this will happen through prayer, because…
“…The EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER of a righteous man 1AVAILS MUCH.” (Jam. 5:16) 1ischuō: to have power and strength to overcome. The heartfelt, continuous prayer makes tremendous power available…NOT the heartfelt continuous debating or arguing!
HELP US LORD TO HUMBLE OURSELVES AND SEEK YOUR FACE…
FaithLine, the bible says: “If my people, who are called by my name, will HUMBLE THEMSELVES and PRAY and SEEK MY FACE…”
