12-02-17 FaithLine Devotion EFFECTIVE PRAYER INTERCESSION…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:  This is a good proclamation for a person of prayer to start their day!

“Now, Lord…enable [me] to speak your word with great boldness. STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND TO HEAL and PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:29-30)

Follow the above proclamation with this one!

I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. [Lord let] my message and my preaching not [be] with wise and persuasive words, but with a DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPIRIT’S POWER, so that [the hearer’s] faith might not rest on human wisdom, but ON GOD’S POWER.” (1 Corin. 2:3-5)

An intercessor must meet FACETOFACE WITH GOD to effectively plead for those who desperately need God’s intervention. How must we prepare ourselves to meet face-to-face with God? Do we need to have clean hands and a pure heart?

Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has CLEAN HANDS AND A PURE HEART…” (Psa. 24:3-4)

When we meet face-to-face we will see the need to: Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.” (Psa. 2:11)

Why? Because our WHOLE DUTY: “…Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.” (Eccl. 12:13)

Again, we may say why? Well, because the: The fear of the LORD is THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Prov. 1:7)

We don’t want to be fools despising the knowledge of God. The way to avoid this is TO KNOW JUST HOW AWESOME OUR GOD IS and how capable he is of carrying out his judgment against the works of unrighteousness.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that YOU MAY KNOW HIM BETTER.” (Eph. 1:17)

Again, an intimate knowing…the more we know Him, the better we hear Him!

HAVE AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM TODAY!

FaithLine, the bible says: “…so that [the hearer’s] faith might not rest on human wisdom, but ON GOD’S POWER.”
