My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “Truly I tell you, UNLESS YOU CHANGE and become LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN,you WILL NEVER ENTER the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 18:3)
As I read this verse I sensed a seriousness that I had not noticed before, I have read this many times but today these words “you will never enter” struck me as something I needed to make sure that I am doing, becoming like a little child! Jesus was explaining the privileges and benefits of the awesome grace of God and said:
“…I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and REVEALED THEM TO LITTLE CHILDREN…” (Matt. 11:25)
So, what does it mean that we must change and become like little children?
We need to change our mindset and think like children think. Not that we become immature and act childish, but that we accept things in simplicity. Children have a way of believing everything you say and believing it as fact.
The humility of children is very evident. It’s a beautiful thing to watch. The humility they have without even knowing it is astounding! This scripture from James is very good advice for us as little children…
“…Everyone should be QUICK TO LISTEN. But they should be SLOW TO SPEAK. They should be SLOW TO GET ANGRY.” (Jam. 1:19)
WE MUST ACCEPT THINGS IN THE “SIMPLICITY OF CHRIST”… (2 Corin 11:3)
FaithLine, the bible says: “UNLESS YOU CHANGE and become LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN,you WILL NEVER ENTER the kingdom of heaven.”
