My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to PRESENT YOUR BODIES AS A LIVING SACRIFICE, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.“ (Rom. 12:1)
Every day we need to do this: present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, why? Because, when we go out into this world we are exposed to spiritual contamination!
“…since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, LET US THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us RUN WITH PERSEVERANCE THE RACE MARKED OUT FOR US, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…” (Heb. 12:1-2)
We must daily get rid of anything that would keep us from doing God’s will and run with our eyes fixed on Jesus!
“Don’t live any longer the way this world lives. Let your WAY OF THINKING BE COMPLETELY CHANGED. Then you will be able to test what God wants for you. And you will agree that what he wants is right. His plan is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Rom. 12:2)
We are not of this world our citizenship is in heaven (Phil. 3:20) so, we must change our way of thinking about things: “Let THIS MIND BE IN YOU, which was also in Christ Jesus…” (Phil. 2:5 KJV)
ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE, WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST… (1 Corin. 2:16)
