For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.” (1 Tim. 6:6-8) 1autarkeia: a perfect condition of life in which no aid or support is needed.
The bible declares that when we are living a Christian life and our daily needs are being met, we will experience great contentment!
“WATCH AND PRAY so that you will not FALL INTO TEMPTATION. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matt. 26:41) “Consider it ALL JOY, my brethren, when you FALL INTO VARIOUS TEMPTATIONS, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” (James 1:2-3)
Jesus encourages us not to fall into temptation, James teaches us that if we do, to consider it ALL JOY because the ability to endure temptation will be produced in us.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; HE WILL NOT LET YOU BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN BEAR. But when you are tempted, he will also PROVIDE A WAY OUT so that you can endure it.” (1 Corin. 10:13)
The devil tempts us to steal away our confidence in God, kill our faith and destroy our relationship with God. Our heavenly Father provides US with an awesome godly contentment which gives us access to great gain…
