They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was NO SMELL OF FIRE ON THEM. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and WERE WILLING TO GIVE UP THEIR LIVES RATHER THAN SERVE OR WORSHIP ANY GOD EXCEPT THEIR OWN GOD.” (Dan. 3:26-28)
[Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did this with a gracious confidence in their God. They trusted in him that he would stand by them in what they did, that he would either bring them out of the fiery furnace back to their place on earth or lead them through the fiery furnace to their place in heaven; and it was in this confidence that they became courageous against the king’s wrath and not caring for their own lives. Note, an unwavering FAITH IN GOD will produce an unwavering FAITHFULNESS TO GOD!]
[The Apostles prayed this prayer, we should pray this as well…] “Stretch out your hand to heal and PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SPOKE THE WORD OF GOD BOLDLY.” (Acts 4:30-31)
THE LORD WILL STRETCH OUT HIS HAND [our hands] TO HEAL AND PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS!
