“I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I WAS SENT TO SPEAK TO YOU and to bring you this good news.” (Luke 1:19)
How will we know what God wants us to do? Ok, think about this, you are a parent and you child comes to you and asks: “WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?” Well, of course you would prayerfully answer because you love your child and you want to give them affectionate guidance for their future! THAT IS WHAT PARENTS DO! It’s just natural! Unfortunately, we have been deceived by Satan in hearing the voice of the Lord!
“Call to me and I WILL ANSWER YOU, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jer. 33:3)
Jesus taught us: “My sheep HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
Then Jesus taught us this about the Holy Spirit: “…the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will TEACH YOU everything and will REMIND YOU of what I said while I was with you.” (John 14:26)
Some may say “we have the Bible and that is God speaking to us”, yes but listen to what it says:
“In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered. The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.” (Acts 9:10-11)
And finally:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I WILL COME IN TO HIM and will dine with him, and he with Me.” (Rev. 3:20)
