WHEN SHOULD I “ACT” LIKE A CHRISTIAN?

“For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be…But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but THE FATHER ALONE.” (Matt. 24:27, 36)

By the way, acting is temporarily doing the duties of another person, so we should never “act” like a Christian, WE SHOULD BE A CHRISTIAN! Born again, washed in the blood of the Lamb, a new creation in Christ with old things passed away and all things being made new!!! Why is this so important? Because, when the trumpet sounds

“For the Lord, Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thess. 4:16-17)

Sorry, but there will be no “actors” in this group, what do I mean by this?

“Whoever says, “I know him,” but does NOT DO WHAT HE COMMANDS IS A LIAR, and the truth is not in that person…if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” (1 John 2:4-6)

Remember, we cannot “act” like a Christian, we LIVE LIKE A CHRISTIAN because Christ is in our lives!

“…anyone who hates a brother or sister…walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them…This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right IS NOT GOD’S CHILD, nor is anyone who DOES NOT LOVE THEIR BROTHER AND SISTER.” (1 John 2:11, 3:10)

How do we check ourselves? “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. DO WHAT IT SAYS. (James 1:22)

Let us be doers of the Word…Bill Stockham
