“I will honor you, my God the King. I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you. I will praise your name for ever and ever. LORD, you are great. You are worthy of praise. No one can completely understand how great you are.” (Psalms 145:1-3)
Have we ever praised the Lord? No, I mean REALLY PRAISED THE LORD? It could have been a quiet, sweet praise that brought tears our eyes. Maybe it was a shout-out-loud, hand clapping experience. If we haven’t been praising the Lord lately, today would be a great time to start. DAVID SAID THAT HE PRAISED GOD “EVERYDAY”. Why? Because David knew that God was worthy of his praise, and David knew that we are daily being attacked by the enemy of our soul! We, too, can praise God. Just start to think of all the good things God has done in our lives. Think of all that we have. Think of those most precious to us. Realize that today we are alive and since we are alive, GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR US. If that is not enough, think of the fact that God loves us UNCONDITIONALLY. He has forgiven us of all the wrong we have ever done through the crucifixion of His only son. Finally, THINK OF HOW ALMIGHTY GOD IS. THINK OF HOW AWESOME HE IS. HIS WISDOM, MAJESTY, POWER AND GREATNESS ARE WITHOUT LIMIT. So, what is stopping us? Right now, let’s stop and praise the Lord. Tell Him how much we love Him. Let’s tell Him how great and majestic He is and how thankful we are to have a relationship with Him.
“For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise…” (Psalms 96:4)
He is worthy of our praise!
Let’s praise Him now…Bill Stockham
