I WILL ANSWER YOU!

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. THEN YOU WILL CALL UPON ME AND COME AND PRAY TO ME, AND I WILL HEAR YOU. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Is it possible to have a close, intimate and satisfying relationship with someone we never talk toCERTAINLY NOT, and it’s ridiculous to think it’s possible.  SO WHY WOULD WE PRETEND TO HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, WITHOUT PRAYER

Prayer is our communication with God.  Through prayer we offer our praise and worship to the One and only True God who deserves all praise. Exalting God in all the virtues of His greatness helps us see life from His perspective. It helps us see ourselves in proper relationship to Him. WE ARE HIS SERVANTS, HIS CHILDREN.  HE IS OUR GOD, OUR ABBA FATHER.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves…the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” (Romans 8:15-16)

Prayer communication is a two-way street.  WE TALK TO GOD AND HE TALKS TO US.

“Call to me and I WILL ANSWER YOU and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

We don’t just bring our cares, worries, frustrations to Him.  But He speaks to us, revealing Him-self to us through prayer.  When my niece was born, she was having serious difficulties, we were waiting outside and praying and the Lord said to me “Bill, when you go in, take her hand, pray for her!” So, when the nurse sent for me I went in, took her hand (I did not know that the nurse said not to touch her) and believed that God would do the healing, and PRAISE GOD, HE HEALED HER! God calmed any fear of uncertainty and answered the prayer, further building my trust in Him.  He helps us recognize all things are possible when we believe Him.

HE GIVES REST TO THOSE WHO SEEK HIM WHOLEHEARTEDLY THROUGH PRAYER.
