“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat [HAVE FELLOWSHIP] with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I WILL GIVE THE RIGHT TO SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:20-22)
For us to have the reality of God’s presence is not dependent on our being in a particular circumstance or place, but is only dependent on our determination TO KEEP THE LORD BEFORE US CONTINUALLY. Our problems arise when we REFUSE TO PLACE OUR TRUST IN THE REALITY OF HIS PRESENCE. Hear what David expresses:
“God is our refuge and strength, AN EVER–PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” (Psalms 46:1-3)
This confidence in God’s presence will be ours once we are grounded on the truth of the reality of God’s presence, not just a simple awareness of it, but AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE REALITY OF IT. Then we will exclaim, “He has been here all the time!” At critical moments in our lives it is necessary to ask God for guidance, but remember, He is doing it already! If our everyday decisions are not per His will, He will bring restraint to our spirit.”
Then we must be quiet and wait for the direction from His presence.
