BEING AN EFFECTIVE INTERCESSOR!

[This is a good proclamation for a prayer intercessor to start their day!]

“…Lord…grant unto me, that with ALL BOLDNESS I MAY SPEAK THY WORD, BY STRETCHING FORTH THINE HAND TO HEAL; and that SIGNS AND WONDERS MAY BE DONE by the name of thy holy child Jesus.” (Acts 4:29-30) [Follow the above proclamation with this one!] [Lord, let] my speech and my preaching [be] not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPIRIT AND OF POWER: That [the hearer’s] faith SHOULD NOT STAND IN THE WISDOM OF MEN, BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD.”  (1 Cor. 2:4-5) [An intercessor must meet face-to-face with God to effectively plead for those who desperately need God’s intervention. How must we prepare ourselves to meet face-to-face with God? Do we need to have clean hands and a pure heart?] “Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? HE WHO HAS CLEAN HANDS AND A PURE HEART…(Psa. 24:3-4)

[When we meet face-to-face we will see the need to:] “Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.” (Psa. 2:11). [Why? Because THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN is to:] “…FEAR GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS…” (Eccl. 12:13). [Again, we may say why? Well, because the:] “…FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Pro. 1:7). [We don’t want to be fools despising the knowledge of God. The way to avoid this is TO KNOW JUST HOW AWESOME OUR GOD IS and how capable he is of carrying out his judgment against the works of unrighteousness. When Solomon was conversing with God about what he (Solomon) needed most to be effective in leading his people to God, God said:] “AND THOU, SOLOMON MY SON, KNOW THOU THE GOD OF THY FATHER…“ (1 Chron. 28:9) [KNOW: yâda’ means TO OBSERVE, TO ENCOUNTER, TO EXPERIENCE, TO FULLY KNOW. God was saying to Solomon that HE NEEDED TO HAVE AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. Fully knowing or entering in to intimacy with our Abba Father WILL MAKE US EFFECTIVE INTERCESSORS.] I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, MAY GIVE YOU the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, SO THAT YOU MAY KNOW HIM BETTER. (Eph. 1:17)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, HAVING AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM TODAY!
