WE NEED MORE MIRACLES!

“…Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire…royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was NO SMELL OF FIRE ON THEM. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and WERE WILLING TO GIVE UP THEIR LIVES RATHER THAN SERVE OR WORSHIP ANY GOD EXCEPT THEIR OWN GOD.” (Dan. 3:26-28) [Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did this with a gracious confidence in their God. They trusted in him that he would stand by them in what they did, that he would either bring them out of the fiery furnace back to their place on earth or lead them through the fiery furnace to their place in heaven; and it was in this confidence that they became courageous against the king’s wrath and not caring for their own lives. Note, an unwavering faith in God will produce an unwavering faithfulness to God!] “Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for NO OTHER GOD CAN SAVE IN THIS WAY.” (Dan. 3:29) [It is the wisdom of princes to prefer and employ persons of commitment to their religion; for those persons that are most likely faithful to them are the ones who are faithful to their God, and it is likely to go well with them when God’s favorites are made theirs!] “Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon.” (Dan. 3:30) [This promotion came about because of what The Lord God Almighty did, not what these men said or how they acted! Miracles have a way of drawing attention to where God wants it to be, so His will may be done!] “… (The people) recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate…and they were FILLED WITH WONDER AND AMAZEMENT at what had happened to him…ALL THE PEOPLE WERE ASTONISHED AND CAME RUNNING TO THEM…” (Acts 3:10-11) [In the many years I have ministered behind a pulpit I have yet to see people who were ‘so astonished’ that they came running to the altar! It will take a mighty move of our very able and capable God to do this! I believe it is time to believe God for what only He can do!!! So the Apostles prayed this prayer:] “Stretch out your hand to heal and PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SPOKE THE WORD OF GOD BOLDLY.” (Acts 4:30-31)
