My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: Why am I doing this at Christmas time? The gift of eternal life is the most awesome gift one could ever receive! “…a third angel…saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God…HE SHALL BE TORMENTED with fire and brimstone…And the smoke of their torment ascends FOREVER AND EVER; and they have no rest day or night, who WORSHIP THE BEAST and his image, and WHOEVER RECEIVES THE MARK of his name.” (Rev. 14:9-11) The reason for this severe punishment is that Isaiah prophesied, WARNING US of the devils failed attempt to overthrow GOD, hundreds of years ago… “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! For YOU HAVE SAID IN YOUR HEART: ‘I will ascend into heaven…above the stars of God…I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH. Yet YOU SHALL BE BROUGHT DOWN TO HELL…” (Isa. 14:12-15)
The devil knows where he is going and he is attempting to take with him as many as he can…Jesus said to the religious leaders, “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites…HOW WILL YOU ESCAPE being condemned to hell? (Matt. 23:29, 33) So, what do we do? “As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. TURN! TURN FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS!” (Ezekiel 33:11) “…1Repent and be converted, turn to God, so that your sins MAY BE WIPED AWAY.” (Acts 3:19) 1metanoeō: to be painful sorry for your sins and to change your mind about how you live.
