My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “A message from the LORD came to Jonah…the LORD said, “Go to the great city of Nineveh. Preach against it. The sins of its people have come to my attention.” But JONAH RAN AWAY FROM THE LORD…he found a ship that was going to Tarshish. He…went on board.” (Jonah 1:1-3)
The Lord is ALWAYS with us so, He ALWAYS knows right where we are…
The LORD hurled a great wind on the sea…the men became extremely frightened and they said to Jonah, “How could you do this?” …so, they picked up Jonah, threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging.” (Jonah 1:4, 10-15)
Jonah knew he was the reason for all this trouble, so he had them cast him into the sea, just wanting to end it all but God had other plans…
“…the LORD sent a huge fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights…Jonah prayed…I WILL DO WHAT I HAVE PROMISED…the LORD gave the fish a command. And it spit Jonah up onto dry land.” (Jonah 1:17, 2:9-10)
Now Jonah was ready preach the warning to the people of Nineveh, they listened, repented, fasted and prayed; 120,000 persons gave their hearts to the Lord. We are in the last times, there are thousands and thousands of people who do not know the Lord!
PREACH THE WORD, BE READY TO SERVE GOD IN GOOD TIMES AND BAD.
