AT ONCE I WAS IN THE SPIRIT, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne…they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood YOU PURCHASED FOR GOD PERSONS FROM EVERY TRIBE AND LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE AND NATION.” (Rev. 4:1-3, 5:9)
This is a type of the rapture, John was “caught up” and immediately he was standing before the throne of God. Now, he was shown what would happen when the wrath of God was poured out on the earth.
“…for the GREAT DAY OF THEIR WRATH has come, and WHO CAN STAND?” (Rev. 6:17)
WE WILL BE WITH JESUS WHEN THE WRATH OF GOD IS BEING POURED OUT…
