12-13-19 FaithLine CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES WHOM YOU WILL SERVE…

My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I WILL VOMIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH. (Rev. 3:15-16) Six miles north of Laodicea was Hierapolis, a major health center, known for its hot springs. Ten miles east was Colosse, known for its cold, pure drinking water. Laodicea had no water supply of its own. The cold, pure water of Colosse, was the only place in the region it was available. These water sources were both available in Laodicea. Some times people would drink the Hierapolis water, which contained Sulphur and was lukewarm after the six mile journey. The awful taste caused people to vomit. Jesus used this illustration to show His feelings about LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS.

As Joshua said to the lukewarm Israelites, “…if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, as for me and my household, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.” (Josh. 24:15) Jesus said, NO ONE CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS; for he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. (Matt. 6:24)

CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE…

FaithLine, the bible says: “…as for me and my household, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.”
