My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “Therefore…LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him ENDURED THE CROSS, 1DESPISING THE SHAME, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Heb. 12:1-2) 1kataphroneō: to look down on, think little or nothing of. Shame is the one agony of the cross which the writer mentions. And he said that Jesus despised it. Shame was stripping away every earthly support that Jesus had: His friends gave way in shaming abandonment; His reputation gave way in shaming mockery; His decency gave way in shaming nakedness; His comfort gave way in shaming torture. His glorious dignity gave way to the utterly undignified, degrading reflexes of grunting and groaning and screeching. Jesus despised this shame. None-the-less He willingly did this all FOR OUR REDEMPTION,
THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF THOSE IN HEAVEN, AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER…(Phil. 2:9-11)
Notice: […We must understand that the bible says:] “Therefore…LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith.” !!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin…
