My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “If then you have been raised with Christ, SEEK THE THINGS THAT ARE ABOVE, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. SET YOUR MINDS ON THINGS THAT ARE ABOVE, not on things that are on earth. For YOU HAVE DIED, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also WILL APPEAR WITH HIM IN GLORY.” (Col. 3:1-4)
A mindset is defined as a set of assumptions, methods, or notations, these are not necessarily the “things that are above”! The fact is if we are in Christ, the old man has died, and our new man is hidden with Christ in God!
“So, put to death anything that belongs to your earthly nature. Get rid of your sexual sins and unclean acts. DON’T LET YOUR FEELINGS GET OUT OF CONTROL. Remove from your life all evil longings. STOP ALWAYS WANTING MORE AND MORE. You might as well be worshiping statues of gods.” (Col. 3:5)
We must cast aside our earthly nature and live a sanctified life, washed in the blood of the Lamb…
“…let us make ourselves pure from everything that pollutes our bodies and spirits.LET US BE COMPLETELY HOLY. We want to honor God.” (2 Corin. 7:1)
The goal for us from Jesus is that we would live holy lives, in fact that we would be completely holy…
