My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “HEAL ME, LORD, and I will be healed; SAVE ME and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” (Jer. 17:14) These are the words of the prophet Jeremiah, fully aware of his own sins and backslidings, and being conscious of his own lack of self-control, to cure himself; and being fully satisfied of the power of the Lord TO HEAL HIM; being well assured, if he was healed by God, he would be thoroughly and effectually healed; therefore he appeals to God. Sins are diseases; healing them is the forgiveness of them; God only can grant this:
“Thus the LORD said to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people…and say to them, ‘Hear the word of the LORD… “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words…the vessel the potter made of clay was marred; so he made it again into another vessel…CAN I NOT DO WITH YOU AS THIS POTTER?” says the LORD.
LOOK, AS THE CLAY IS IN THE POTTER’S HAND, SO ARE YOU IN MY HAND…(Jer. 17:19-20, 18:2,4,6)
