My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “Jesus is able TO SAVE COMPLETELY those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest TRULY MEETS OUR NEED—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Jesus…the Son…HAS BEEN MADE PERFECT FOREVER.” (Heb. 7:25-28)
The point of the book of Hebrews is that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, has not just come to fit into the earthly system of priestly ministry as the best and final human priest, but Jesus has come to FULFILL GOD’S PLAN so we may place all our attention on Jesus ministering for us in heaven but even more amazing from within us: Jesus said, “Anyone who loves me will OBEY MY TEACHING. My Father will love him. We will come to him and MAKE OUR HOME WITH HIM.” (John 14:23). “I WILL BE IN THEM, just as you are in me.” (John 17:23) “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME.” (Gal. 2:20)
“For WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD.” (2 Corin. 6:16) The tabernacle and priests and sacrifices were shadows. Now the reality of our savior living in us has come and the shadows have passed away.
YES OH YES, JESUS TRULY LIVES IN US…
