For that day WILL NOT COME, UNLESS the rebellion comes first, and the MAN OF LAWLESSNESS [the dragon, the antichrist] is revealed…so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
The antichrist will deceive the Jews into proclaiming him as the messiah…“All who dwell on the earth will worship him…” (Rev. 13:8)
Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know WHAT IS RESTRAINING HIM NOW so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only HE who now restrains it will do so UNTIL HE IS OUT OF THE WAY.
The Holy Spirit is restraining Satan from revealing the antichrist until God’s work is done, when He takes us up, He will be out of the Way…
And then the lawless one will be revealed…The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with ALL POWER AND FALSE SIGNS AND WONDERS, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because THEY REFUSED TO LOVE THE TRUTH and so be saved.
All those who refused Christ will be left behind to serve Satan.
Our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father loved us. By his grace God gave us comfort that WILL LAST FOREVER. The hope he gave us is good. May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father COMFORT YOUR HEARTS. May they make you strong in every good thing you do and say.” (2 Thess. 2:1-10, 16-17)
