What is the key for us to keep from being led astray from?
- Another Jesus
- A different spirit
- A different gospel
First, remember Jesus Christ is “The Living Word of God.” So, anything that anyone says MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD. It is of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE that we become familiar with the Word. “…faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard by THE WORD of Christ.” (Rom. 10:17) “ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD–BREATHED and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17) Paul talked about certain ones who eagerly listen to the word and, “…EXAMINED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY to see whether these things were so.” (Acts 17:11) Remember what David said, “I have HIDDEN YOUR WORD IN MY HEART that I might not sin against you.” (Psa. 119:11)
THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL MAKE THE WORD OF GOD ALIVE IN US…
