“1WAIT ON THE LORD, And KEEP HIS WAY…Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man IS PEACE…the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.” (Psa. 37:34-40)
There are three words that are used for “wait,”châkâh: waiting by faith for something to happen, ‛âmad: to take a stand serving God, 1qâvâh: to collect and bind together. That is what this verse is saying! “Come and let us JOIN OURSELVES (châkâh, to be bound together) to the LORD In a PERPETUAL COVENANT That will not BE FORGOTTEN.” (Jer. 50:5)
