My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate; whom I love and pray for every day: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has known what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corin. 2:9)
It does not matter how much we know, how well we are educated, or how much worldly experience we may have, we are not able to understand the spiritual things of God! So, how can we understand spiritual things? “…God has shown it to us through His (Holy) Spirit. The Spirit understands all things. He understands even the deep things of God…no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is…the Spirit who is from God, so that WE MAY UNDERSTAND WHAT GOD HAS FREELY GIVEN US.” (1 Corin. 2:10-12) “…the word of God is alive and active…exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12)
When I got saved I knew nothing about the bible. So, I opened to the gospels and started reading. At that time I was working as an Aeronautical Engineering, designing control systems for Boeing’s passenger jets. I had book shelves full of very technical books (pre-computer) and I picked up the bible and started energetically reading. Went through the gospels, book of Acts and started reading the book of Romans. I got to the 6th chapter and had no idea what I was reading so, I did what I should have done before I started. I prayed, confessing to the Lord, and repenting for my arrogance in thinking I was smart enough to understand His word without His help.
I started over, after asking for forgiveness and seeking the Lord for understanding as I read and WHAT A DIFFERENCE, WOW!!! The Lord reveled things to me that I didn’t even notice before.
GOD IS SO AWESOME!!!
