[My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day… [In 1889, Warren D. Cornell was sitting in a tent one day, after a period of deep self-examination, he wrote his thoughts down. They later proved to be parts of a hymn, “Wonderful Peace”. Sinking back into thoughtful meditation, he arose, and unknowingly dropped the written verses on the tent floor and went out. A man named George Cooper entered the tent an hour or so later and discovered the paper. He was fascinated by the theme and the accompanying verses. It fitted his own thinking so well that he filled in and completed the poem. Then sitting down at the organ, he composed this melody!
“Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!”]
“WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” NO, IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US.” (Rom. 8:35-37)
