My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: Saul (Paul) of Tarsus hated Christians. He made it his goal to capture, then bring Christians to public trial and execution. Saul was present when the first Christian martyr (Stephen) was killed by an angry mob.
“I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and putting both men and women into prisons…it happened that as I was on my way, being zealous for God just as you all are today, approaching Damascus about noontime, a very bright light suddenly flashed from heaven all around me, and I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING ME?‘” (Act 22:3-7)
Saul took up the sword to convince people that they were wrong for not holding to the religious views of the Jewish authorities. However, Saul met the resurrected Christ on the road to Damascus in a supernatural blinding-light experience. His hardened heart instantly softened as he realized he was wrong. The Lord began to reveal His word to Paul and he proceeded to write the Word of God becoming responsible for about 1/3rd of the New Testament.
“How blessed is the man who’s…1delight is in the law [Word] of the LORD, And in His law he MEDITATES DAY AND NIGHT. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water…And in whatever he does, he prospers.” (Psa. 1:1-3) 1chêphets: something that brings extreme satisfaction and great pleasure.
We need to diligently seek and make sure we are doing His will…
LORD, LET ME FIND DAILY, SATISFACTION AND PLEASURE IN YOUR WORD…
FaithLine, the bible says: “…in His law he MEDITATES DAY AND NIGHT…”
