06-04-20 Loved One’s Devotion WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO…

My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day:  Everything we say and everything we do has to prove WHAT WE BELIEVE. People don’t buy into WHAT we do but WHY WE DO IT. For example, “…being in Bethany as Jesus sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then SHE BROKE THE FLASK AND POURED IT ON HIS HEAD. (Mark 14:3) Some of those present were not happy that expensive perfume worth more THAN A YEAR’S WAGE was being wasted rather than being sold and given to the poor. So they REBUKED HER HARSHLY. So, Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done A GOOD WORK FOR ME. (Mark 14:6) Maybe she felt like these, “…every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “BLESSING AND HONOR AND GLORY AND POWER Be to Him who sits on the throne, And TO THE LAMB (Jesus Christ the Lamb of God), FOREVER AND EVER!” (Rev. 5:13)

These others, in the presence of THE ALMIGHTY GOD, THE SON, were worried about the cost but this woman would have loved to have unselfishly had more to give to honor the Lord. Just a few days earlier, Mary, the sister of Lazarus, “…Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, ANOINTED THE FEET OF JESUS, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.(John 12:3) Judas replied, Why was this fragrant oil not sold and given to the poorJesus said, “Let her alone; she has kept this for the day OF MY BURIAL.(John 12:5, 7) So, how well did the disciples really know Jesus? For that matter, how well do we REALLY KNOW WHO JESUS IS???

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “…She has done A GOOD WORK FOR ME.” !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin…
