My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “…after I HEARD OF YOUR FAITH in the Lord Jesus, I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that you may know what is the 1EXCEEDING 2GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US WHO BELIEVE, ACCORDING TO THE WORKING OF HIS MIGHTY POWER…” (Eph. 1:15-19)
1huperballo, to throw or to hurl something above and beyond, surpassing, and eclipsing one’s goal 2megethos, a form of mega, meaning great better, translated as vast. The power Paul is describing is boundless, immense, limitless, measureless, and vast. One could say that it is so mighty that it is simply beyond human ability to measure. Paul is saying that this power is so mighty it can neither be measured nor resisted. There is simply no human power in existence to compare to it!
So, who will have this awesome power? Paul said “…toward us WHO BELIEVE” from the Greek, pisteuō: to be persuaded. When BECOME PERSUADED that the boundless, immense, limitless, measureless, and vast power of God WILL WORK IN US!
WE KNOW WE HAVE FAITH BECAUSE WE’RE SAVED, BUT WHEN DO WE KNOW WE BELIEVE? WHEN WE SEE THIS POWER WORKING IN OUR LIVES!!!
