My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. Believe in the light while you have the light, SO THAT YOU MAY BECOME CHILDREN OF LIGHT.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.” (John 12:35-36)
Why did Jesus hide Himself from them? He had just revealed something very profound to them and He wanted it to sink in. One of the ways that Jesus came in the flesh was to be the light of the world, why? Because the world was in gross darkness. Soon Jesus would leave in His physical presence and darkness could overtake the world once more. So, how may this darkness be prevented from overtaking the world???
Jesus said to His disciples and to us as well, “YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden…” (Matt. 5:14)
We must live, walk and talk the light, knowing that; “Your word is a lamp to my feet and A LIGHT TO MY PATH.” (Psa. 119:105)
REMEMBER, THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND VERY POWERFUL…
