[My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day…how can a person be born again? Nicodemus ask that question to Jesus.]
“How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” (John 3:4)
[Very good question Nicodemus so really, how is someone born again?]
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:5-6)
OK, Jesus is talking about a spiritual birth! So, what is wrong with our spirit? Paul tells us:
” …YOU WERE DEAD in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked…following the prince of the power of the air… [the devil].” (Eph. 2:1-2)
When we ask for forgiveness for these sins then we are born again and have a new Father!
When we were in sin, Jesus said: “Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you …are of your father the devil…” (John 8:43-44)
Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh, who then is our new Father?
“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN. Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…” (Rom. 8:16-17)
Wow! OK, now what shall we do? Well, a religious leader asked Jesus: What is the most important thing we can do?
“‘LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR as yourself.’” (Matt. 22:36-39)
TODAY WOULD BE A GOOD DAY TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS!
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:
WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN. Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…
