05-09-18 FaithLine Devotion DON’T LET THE SUN SET ON YOUR ANGER…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is quick-tempered quickly shows how foolish he is.(Prov. 14:29)

When the devil tempts us with anger problems it can make us feel isolated from others, displeased with life, and often misunderstood. When we have a difficult time getting victory over our anger, it can be hard to accomplish what we want to do or develop the relationships we would like to have. The devil deceives us, so we don’t always recognize the source of our anger. We are tempted to think others are at fault for pushing our “buttons” or we may even feel that the everyone is against us.

“This you know, my beloved brethren…everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and SLOW TO ANGER; FOR THE ANGER OF MAN DOES NOT ACHIEVE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.” (Jam. 1:19-20)

We may ask, why did God give us the ability to get angry? Because God want’s us to hate sin and be angry at unrighteousness. But He warns us: “In your anger do not sin“: DO NOT LET THE SUN GO DOWN WHILE YOU ARE STILL ANGRY, and do not give the devil a foothold.” (Eph. 4:26-27)

This is very wonderful advice from God’s word: Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, TURN ALL YOUR WORRIES OVER TO HIM. He cares about you. (1 Peter 5:6, 7)

GIVE US THE DESIRE AND EMPOWER US TO TURN ALL OUR CARES OVER TO YOU, LORD…

FaithLine, the bible says: “This you know, my beloved brethren…everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and SLOW TO ANGER…”
