My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “Joseph, from Arimathea, went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then he wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb…before…the Sabbath drew near…the women who had come with Him followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils…on the first day of the week, they, came to the tomb…they found the stone rolled away…THEY WENT IN AND DID NOT FIND THE BODY OF THE LORD JESUS.” (Luke 23:52-56, 24:1-3) The enemies of Jesus confirmed it by claiming that the disciples had stolen the body, “The chief priests said, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.” (Matt. 28:13) The dead body of Jesus could not be found. That was the woman’s reality at that time. But, look at what Jesus taught them… “…the Son of Man must suffer many things, and BE KILLED, AND AFTER THREE DAYS RISE AGAIN.” (Mark 8:31) “Jesus said, “The son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and THEY WILL KILL HIM, AND THE THIRD DAY HE WILL BE RAISED UP.” (Matt. 17:22-23) “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and BE KILLED, AND BE RAISED THE THIRD DAY.“ (Luke 9:22) Even the non-Christian Jews knew, “…the chief priests and Pharisees said to Pilate, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘AFTER THREE DAYS I WILL RISE.’” (Matt. 27:62-63)
So, why did these women not remember? Well, you see, it’s just like the rapture NOTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED, it’s just hard to believe! That is why Christians are not preparing for the amazing journey to meet the Lord in the air! Jesus said, “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, WILL HE REALLY FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?” (Luke 18:8)
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST. Then we who are alive and remain SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER with them in the clouds TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR. And thus WE SHALL ALWAYS BE WITH THE LORD.” (1 Thess. 4:16-17)
