We are often fooled by our own understanding…
“TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART and do not lean on your own understanding. IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, And He will make your paths straight.” (Pro. 3:5-6)
We are warned in the Word to trust in the Lord with our all and not to do what “seems right”…
“The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! “For God knows that in the day you eat from it YOUR EYES WILL BE OPENED, AND YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD, KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL.” (Gen. 3:4-5) Now that sounded good to Eve and “seemed” to be right. So, she sinned and led Adam to sin as well. God said: “…from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil YOU SHALL NOT EAT, for in the day that you eat from it YOU WILL SURELY DIE.“ (Gen. 2:17)
