My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: Jesus, “…OPENED THEIR MINDS so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I AM GOING TO SEND YOU WHAT MY FATHER HAS PROMISED; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24:45-49)
You see, we have this little problem; “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has known what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corin. 2:9-10)
We do not have the ability to understand God’s word by our human means! Thankfully; “GOD HAS SHOWN IT TO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. The Spirit understands all things. He understands even the deep things of God.” (1 Corin. 2:9-10)
Our understanding of the Scriptures comes from the Holy Spirit of God who is in us to help us! “The person without the Holy Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned (recognize or identify) only through the Spirit.” (1 Corin. 2:14)
