My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “…Joshua said, “You cannot serve the LORD, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God…the people said, “…WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!” Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves, to serve The LORD.” they said, “We are witnesses!” “Now, INCLINE YOUR HEART TO THE LORD GOD.” And the people said, “THE LORD OUR GOD WE WILL SERVE, AND HIS VOICE WE WILL OBEY!” (Josh. 24:19-24)
The people seemed determined to stay faithful to God but, “…another generation arose after them WHO DID NOT KNOW THE LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.” (Jud. 2:10)
How could the people of God forget to pass the knowledge of the Lord on to their children? “The LORD our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. YOU SHALL TEACH THEM DILIGENTLY TO YOUR CHILDREN, and shall TALK of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall BIND them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall WRITE them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deut. 6:4-9)
TOUCH OUR HEART TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S WORD…
