04-09-18 FaithLine Devotion WHAT ARE YOU SOWING…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:    “Do not be deceived: GOD CANNOT BE 1MOCKED. A man 2reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh WILL REAP DESTRUCTION; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit WILL REAP ETERNAL LIFE.” (Gal. 6:7-8) 1muktērizetai: the sense of wrinkling or turning up the nose to demonstrate contempt, scorn, distaste, or ridicule. 2theridō: cut and gather a crop.

To mock God is to pretend to love and serve him when we do not; to act in a false manner, to be insincere and hypocritical in our professions, pretending to obey him, love, serve, and worship him, when we do not. The devil loves to lead us into insincerity because it will produce a crop of destruction for our lives. Remember the devil: comes only to steal and kill and destroy…” (John 10:10a)So, we must diligently seek the Lord to inspire us to please Him in what we do. Remember, Jesus says this in the rest of that verse: I came that they MAY HAVE LIFE and have it 3ABUNDANTLY. (John 10:10b) 3Perissos: over and above, more than is necessary.

LET US NOT BECOME WEARY IN DOING GOOD, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Gal. 6:9)

PRAY FOR A NEW LOVE AND RESPECT FOR GOD AND GO ABOUT DOING GOOD.

FaithLine, the bible says: I came that they MAY HAVE LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY.
